I'm looking at why clotting happens when blood platelets are exposed to the type of forces that occur in heart-assist devices. My PI is Dr. Marvin Slepian. Regarding data and my questions:

In example 1, I'd like to compare 3 different parameters of blood aggregation (amplitude, slope, and AUC) for two different treatments (resting=control and shear-exposed). As well as some other day-dependent differences, platelets from different people behave differently. As such, I want to compare each day's data to it's own day's control, rather than calculating stats based on the mean and variation of the raw data. I had originally done this by normalizing all sheared data to the resting values for that day, but I don't believe this is correct. Based partially on this paper, I think I want to either do some sort of ANOVA or a paired t-test for the raw treatment vs raw controls for each parameter. But I'm not sure which to pick. I'm also having trouble interpreting GraphPad Prism's explanations of their different ANOVA tests.

I'm also having trouble figuring out Prism's analysis options for doing multiple tests on (in Excel terms) different values in a single series, and also on corresponding values across different series.
